Has anyone Mix Nexus Birch and Adel Birch? Since Nexus Birch does not have glass cabinets I was thinking of getting Adel Birch for glass cabinets?

Anyone does this - How were the results?

The Ikea in New Haven has this setup.Â* Nexus birch with Adel birch glass high cabinets.Â* It looks very good.Â* The birch veneer of the Nexus and the solid birch of the Adel do not match perfectly, but it's so close, that it shouldn't be an issue.

We thought about this and decided not to after looking carefully at the two colors. I think its okay if all of your wall cabinets will be adel, but IMHO the contrast would be too much if you were to have just one or two adels mixed in with nexus.

If my memory serves me, the New Haven setup was all Adel glass on top and Nexus on the lowers.Â* I agree that it would not work as well with the solid Adel on top.Â* The Adel is a little darker and the Nexus is a little more yellow.
