Hi, I just discovered this site last week and have been obsessively reading posts ever since. Unfortunately, I haven't been too organized thus far about saving the info I have been reading. I remember reading a thread that talked about how closely the various white doors matched the white boxes, but now I can't find it. Can someone point me to that thread, or at least re-post the info? I'm thinking of doing either Applad white or Stat white for my doors. I'm wondering how closely the white of the boxes will match each of these doors. I'm also wondering how closely the Perfekt stuff (like the open shelf unit) will match each of these doors. Thanks, Zoe

Hey Zoe!

I can tell you that Stat white looks perfect with the white boxes, it also blends beautifully with the white PERFEKT pieces . I think Applad white does too, but we don't have one here atm...

Useful tip... If you find a post you like, just click the "Blog it!" button in the bottom right corner of the post and it'll copy that post to your Blog with a default category of IDEA File. I use it to collect useful snippets, it's sort of like a scrapbook system for capturing useful info.

Applad and Stat are the same color and Stat uses Applad for the shallow drawer fronts, so they go together equally well. The main difference is the doors are a smoother finish than the cabs. We didn't use any cover panels in our kitchen and we don't mind how it looks. I suppose someone might but they will be free to "fix" it later. Meanwhile we saved some money and effort .

I don't think that was the same thread, James, but it's helpful nonetheless. So Applad and Stat are the same white, but it sounds like their white is not the same as that of the toekicks -- and I assume the cover panels? The white of these is the same as the white of Adel White? Is this true? So it wouldn't help anyway to get the white cover panels if I was using Applad or Stat, right? I guess the toekicks/plinths are close enough, since they don't make specifically Applad ones?

I'm hopefully going to a store this weekend so I can see this stuff in person for the first time, so I should have a lot less elementary questions soon. I'm just too curious to restrain myself until then!

Applad, Stat, and Lidingo are the same white painted MDF finish. There are white (called "finish white") cover panels, toekicks, and deco trim for Applad, Stat, and Lidingo.

Adel White is a different foil finish, slightly leaning a creamier color. There are special Adel White cover panels, toekicks, and deco.

Abstrakt White is yet again another white finish with its own trim. I believe it's called "high gloss" white.

Don't worry, these are not elementary questions. There has been much confusion and many threads about this issue.
