I just saw this and borrowed it from LiveModern because it shows what looks like filler cut to follow the angle of the ceiling above the wall cabinets. Plus it looks to be my long lost Hallarum!
Anyway, I think it's a nice looking option.

So cool, Splatgrl! I must've missed that one on LIveModern. It's very much like the layout of our room.

Some other great ideas here as well. I received the 'official' room dimensions today and will play with some things.

That is my kitchen in the photo. We didn't use trim or perfekt panels to finish out the cabinet wall. I wanted the reveal between the cabinet doors to continue up to the ceiling. So, we had our carpenter use extra door fronts, trimmed to fit the ceiling. All usuable space was filled with cabinets to maximize storage. Using panels would have meant a horizontal application and I wanted vertical. It also would have kept us from continuing the Hallarum cross pattern,and why have Hallarum if you cant have the cross pattern? Also, those are all tall pantries with 24" deep over-refrigerator cabinets above them. Glad you like it.
