If anyone is looking for a nice, large-ish trash pullout for their 12" base cabinet (larger than Ikea's anyway...) Here's a couple at simplehuman.com that fit perfectly:

I bought the single pullout can after I discovered that the BPO12 I had originally planned for trash would not clear the door hardware on the adjacent corner cabinet.

So I switched to a 12" base with a single door. The simplehuman pull-out apparatus clears the hinges no problem. There is even enough room to mount an interior drawer above the trash bins for extra garbage bags.

That is an excellent find! I especially like the recycler. Is it possible to purchase just the cans and not the pullout apparatus? The 12" pullout already has those parts.

I have the double bins. They actually shipped the single black bin by mistake, so now I have both. I can confirm both fit the 12" pullout perfectly.

So I was going to order the single black bin--the Simple Human site indicates that the double bin is backordered--but had to run down to Ikea before I had a chance to place the order. My fiance kept saying, c'mon, Ikea must make a container for the 12" trash pullout, but I assured him that they don't. So imagine my surprise when an Ikean showed us a new 8-gallon waste bin. It's about 16" high and 16" deep and 10" wide, and although it fits pretty snugly in the 12" pullout I think it will work fine. (Kitchen isn't quite finished so we aren't using it routinely--and in fact most trash has been dropped in from above, though that's not possible now that the countertop has been installed )

You can also post that pic to your gallery so they're easier for you to locate when you want to refer to something.....and yet at the same time, others get to enjoy pics of your kitchen as well.
