I've read a couple threads mentioning a couple paints that match the Adel White (Ralph Lauren Studio White and a Benjamin Moore paint formula in the following thread to name a couple).

That being said, my question lies in what to do when painting the ceiling and window trim (we have two windows that we're going to be re-painting white).


My thoughts:
- I'm assuming that we'll go with the standard white ceiling paint to match the rest of the house.
- Would you recommend going with the standard pure white trim paint for the windows or the Ralph Lauren Studio White to try to match the window trim to the Adel White cabs?
- A related issue is that we just ordered white wood blinds, so if we match the window trim to the cabinets, then I assume we'd likely have to get different blinds as the pure white wood blinds would look odd when within the window trim painted Studio White and next to the Adel White cabs. Right?

I'm kind of at a loss as to what would look "correct". I guess the options to go with our Adel White cabinets are as follows:

A) Pure white ceiling, pure white window trim & pure white wood blinds
B) Pure white ceiling, Studio White window trim & pure white wood blinds (look odd?)
C) Pure white ceiling, Studio White window trim & different blinds (likely darker)
D) Studio white ceiling, Studio White window trim + different blinds

Anyone with Adel White experience that has the "answer?!?" Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide!

I think it's a matter of personal preference. Having said, I would probably go with option A. I have Stat cabinets and I didn't for one second think about the "whites" of my blinds matching the cabinets. I don't think anyone else does either - at least I hope not.

Thanks Madp. But isn't Stat White more of a pure white than Adel White is? At least, I think thats the case.

We've held up an Adel door face to another pure white window in our house and it doesn't look too bad. W're just concerned about what a kitchen full of Adel White cabinets will look like next to two windows + blinds that are pure white.

Maybe we're overthinking this one, but we know that there has been some discussion on this previously so we were wondering what the masses thought.

Yes Neil. Stat is more of a true white. But what I was trying to say is that personally, it wouldn't matter to me. I would want to match the windows with the rest of the windows of the house as opposed to the cabinet color.

We'll see what others have to say.....

Sounds great madp. That's the way we're currently leaning. We're going to paint soon, with cabinets to follow shortly and just wanted to get some outside opinions so that we don't get cabinets installed and think that the windows/blinds look odd as a slightly different color white.

Again, appreciate the insight.
