may be turning into something bigger here soon but I'm noodling on some thoughts.
Which cabs, or doors rather, are solid wood?
Can you get installers to do the installation of the cabs for you (so I can go to work and earn the $$ to pay for the new kitchen )?
Assuming you're just replacing old cabs with new and just knocking down a non-load bearing wall between the breakfast room and the kitchen and we're talking a space that will end up being 23' x 11' (woah that's long and narrow!) - what's best guesstimate on how long it takes for the cabs to get there? |
Hello and good morning! Always nice to see someone interested in the product. Solid wood doors are Fagerland, Kalsebo, Adel in birch and medium brown, Tidaholm, Backebo, and Ulriksdal. The drawerfronts for most of these are not solid but rather a veneered product. Also, most of the doors have some veneered component, be it a recessed panel or such.
Each IKEA has a licensed installer they can refer customers to for installation and the like. You'll have to check with the closest store for that info.
Any cabinet can be ordered into the store, which takes anywhere from 10-14 days. A good portion of IKEA cabinetry is available in-stock, for immediate take away though. And if you absoutely have to, the cabinet boxes, drawer boxes, shelves, hinges and any other internal cabinet accessory are available in store and drawerfronts, doors, toekicks, and panels can be ordered in.
