Please review my kitchen plan...

After many hours of trying to get everything to fit in my tiny, awkward kitchen..I think I might have it. Could you please look and give me some feedback?

The wall that is next to the "pennisula" (30" drawers) is going to be removed from the doorway back. All our door openings are doorless so there is no worry about the actual doors. I wish I could make it so my oven was not butted right up to the wall, but the only way I could do it would be a corner sink and I need a big sink! I am planning on making the 15" cabinet a trash pull out, that is possible right? I gave up some dead space in the corner next to the sink because I needed more drawers. I just put a cabinet in there to hold the space.

Thanks!

Amy

Re: Please review my kitchen plan...

Welcome! If I have a chance I'll take a look at the details but for now just a quick suggestion re. trash. With a big sink base and some careful planning of plumbing, you should be able to create pullouts instead of doors right under the sink. You might find that only one can go all the way back, or that you need to use a 15" wide drawer attached to an 18" front to get around plumbing, but it doesn't matter: you'll still gain great function and space efficiency. And you can use that other base for STUFF .

Search under sink and pullout and you'll find some great discussions of details--or check the list of posts that comes up at the bottom of this one--the system automatically lists posts it thinks might be related and now that I've used those keywords, it might show you the right posts!

Best of luck

Re: Please review my kitchen plan...

Is that gap between the fridge/pantries even passable?!?

Anyways, if you can move the stove, do so. It's pretty awkward where it is right now.

Re: Please review my kitchen plan...

My go on your kitchen is as follows:

I moved the stove and the fridge.

Used base 12" deep cabinets with counter top for extra working/placing surface.

All storage is kept mainly on one side.

Above the DW I would put some different wall cabinets or even opened shelves.

Just my suggestion. Good luck.

Re: Please review my kitchen plan...

i will take some more time later (when i have it) to make up a design with the planner...do i understand that the peninsula will be open to the adjoining room (perhaps like a bar)? what elements are a MUST for your kitchen plan? (pantry/bar/storage, etc)

Re: Please review my kitchen plan...

Just a couple of ideas from fresh eyes... Also, for some reason the planner wouldn't let me place a over the fridge cabinet, but of course there's room for one in both plans.

Oh, one other thing...the first design uses a 49" corner base for your sink...I believe this can be done, as I actually saw another IKEAFAN do it.
