Hello!

I have a problem. My grundtal lights (IKEA | Lighting | Furniture lighting | GRUNDTAL | Spotlight) suddenly turned off.

I bought two packs of three and connected all six of them into one of the transformer boxes and switched all of them from there, however, a few days (less than a week) later, they all wouldnt turn on, so I switched the transformer box and everything went well.

A few days ago (about 3 weeks since changing the box) the lights stopped again. Am I doing something wrong by expecting the six lights to operate using one transformer box?

Where can i get another box or two? I went to ikea today, and they don't sell the transformers by themselves.

Somewhere on the transformer it should show the max wattage. It sounds like you are overwhelming the transformer with the lights. With 6 lights on the same transformer you are pulling 60 watts and you are probably overdriving the box. Without seeing the transformer I'm only guessing though. For the 19 bucks they charge for the set you probably can't find a standalone transformer for that price anyway. Good luck! Paul

Yeah I agree with BeachsidePaul. I actually have 2 sets of grundtal lights and I tried to connect all 6 of them to 1 transformer. What i discovered was everytime they were on for a while they would start to blink like crazy. When I separated them, they were fine.

I've connected 4 on one before and those were fine, but more than that (even though the transformer allows for 6) at 10w per bulb, it had difficulty handling it. Hope this helps
