| akurum corner cabinet-36 3/4" or 37"?? HELP w/dimensions
isn't a "standard" corner cabinet supposed to be EXACTLY 36 x 36? before i put mine together and make it unreturnable, how can i make this 36 x 36 ? catalog says it's 37 x 37, store says exactly 36 3/4 x 36 3/4. either way, my already finished countertop is an L shape measuring exactly 72 inches (back edge) by 96 inches (back edge). assuming the cab is 36 3/4 x 36 3/4, don't i need to make it 36 x 36 or even less so that i can use a 36 inch cab on the 72 inch side (36 + 36 = 72) and a 30 inch sink cab and a 30 inch cab on the 96 inch side (36 + 30 + 30 =96). obviously, if i'm willing to lose 6 inches of cabinetry on each side, i don't have a problem, but i can't give up 1 foot of base cabinet storage. questions---- don't i need to make this 36 x 36 or 35 x 35 ?----and if i make it a smaller size, would a size just less than 36 x 36 (to allow for cover panel thickness) be correct based on my desired other cabinet sizes? by the way, the already finished L shaped countertop is corian, so i can't change anything with it---adjustments, if any, must be on base cabinetry.
