The Nexus Brown-Black kitchen doors (Size: 24"x39") seem to be non-existent. They are an option on the IKEA website (and we have two wall-cabinets that need them.)

Does anyone have any information about availability.
Except for the two doors the kitchen is almost complete.

I don't know anything about availability. But would you consider a pair of 12x39s? To me a 24" door is too wide to be swinging in my face...

I would agree with you if the door was right in front of the person opening it. However, the kitchen is a shape of a U and the wall cabinets are in the corners. Due to the countertop being in the way, it would be impossible to open/use the wall cabinet if it had two 12" doors. A 24" door swinging towards the wall on each side is in my opinion the best option.

Back to the original question. I have checked all the IKEA's in U.S., and when checking in Sweden I noticed that they don't use the same measurements (the cabinets are actually made in Sweden). And the ikean mentioned that these are "new" sizes and that they are not in stock yet. Just getting a little worried... but so far we have only waited for three months...

It's available online, and I don't know about your IKEA, but mine doesn't stock NEXUS Black-Brown, but you can order it as a Distribution order that takes about 2 weeks to arrive. Have you asked at the Kitchen Department of your store?

North America 's kitchen system is called Akurum and used imperial measurements; the European system is called Faktum and is metric. Never the twain shall meet.

As for availability, your best bet is finding out from the actual store you are going to be ordering from, unless you are doing IKEA direct . Sometimes we're lucky and an IKEA co-worker will be able to look it up in the system and give us some idea of actual availabilty.

Thanks. I have taken your advice and ordered it online. Kind of pessimistic and I'm thinking they will call me and tell me that that particular size (24x39) is not available... But we'll see... The main reason for the pessimism is that the kitchen department at IKEA said they weren't available anywhere.

I checked today and the 24x39" doors are available in Canada - we receive a lot of stock from the Atlantic US warehouse - so the doors should be available to be ordered.
