Here's my "discontinued" kitchen, just finished (waiting for the countertops to arrive, and installing new ceiling lights): Kalsebo (now about 70% off) with Lansa handles ($1.99/pkg clearance price). We had actually chosen this combo before we knew they were being discontinued. We love, love, love the new kitchen (even unfinished). I would recommend to anyone redoing a kitchen that if you like the beech look, check with your nearby stores to see if you can still put a Kalsebo kitchen together. (You might also be able to sneak in a few filler pieces from the new beech that replaced Kalsebo if necessary...looks pretty identical to me!)

PS: We will clean off the refrigerator before it's finished . Also, these photos were shot at night so the wood looks more orange than it really is, it's a light beech with really no orange at all, just a rosy glow.

Also, the empty space next to the refrigerator is for a countertop to make a 48" eating area. Due to my husband's disability, we made it table-height rather than barstool-ready. The cabinet above that area is partially open (used shorter doors) so we'd have an open bookshelf for cookbooks!

It is interesting how diferent regions have diferent stock and I have been told that the local managers do not have a big say in what they get. Anyhow, IKEA in Perth has launched the new catalogue, however, they have not received any of the new products so I can only admire them here and trust your opinions guys.

My kitchen is nearly finishe, three things remain, the granite benchtops, plumbers to reconect the services and tiling the splash backs . This should take another 10 days.

could you point me to this thread please? I'm desperately trying to figure out this hack for the 49inch old blind corner and the new solid lazy susan. Would reeaally appreciate instructions.
