I dont have an Ikea within 5 hours, so am wondering what Adel White cabinets look like mixed with the Stat White glass or Lidi White glass cabinets? I am not thrilled with the Adel White glass...a bit too modern, but the regular Stat or Lidi is not what I want either. Are the whites the same?

lidi and stat are the same, adel is creamier (for the record, i like the lidi glass the best, but i know that is not the question )

what do you think about the frosted glass aviskt?

Still too modern I think. It needs to be a divided lite type one. Could I paint the Lindi or Stat to match? If the colors matched would they look good with the Adel?

Also, do any of the 15" tall cabinets come with glass?

Personally, I would not pair Stat or Lidi glass with Adel white. I think the whites are too different. Rather than paint over a Stat or Lidi door, I would order paint grade doors from Scherr's. In another post, someone said that Ralph Lauren's Studio White (in the urban line) is a perfect match for Adel white. I have not checked out the match yet, but thought I would pass that info on.

Good idea. Or perhaps I can add mullions (is that the right term) to the adel glass.

If you have just a few glass front wall cabs, you could go ahead and get the Adel glass fronts for now, and see how you feel about them after you live with them for a while. You can always trade them out for Scherr's fronts later on. That's my plan if I end up going with Adel white.

Sorry, I should have added that I don't think it would look well to add mullions to Adel glass. The glass is patterned, so you would have too much stuff going on visually. An advantage of not having mullions is that you are free to place the glass shelves where ever you like in the cabinet, instead of trying to line them up with the mullions. And the patterned glass of Adel gives that open look while obscuring your tableware somewhat, which in my case is an advantage.

Below is a photo of Adel and Avikst. I know you mentioned it may be too modern but I thought I'd post the pic anyway so you can see the look (note the horizontal placement of the Avikst makes it more modern than it would appear if these were hung vertically).

Here is a photo of the glass in an Adel white door (36" cab).


I think that pattern is fine enough that you could put mullions over it, but the side frames are so wide that the glass panel is relatively narrow compared to other doors, not leaving much room for the mullions. Here is a photo of the widest glass cabinet, a 36" wide upper.


I agree too, that the other white doors with glass are brighter and glossier than the Adel.
