Hi all,
I'm trying to decide where our backsplash should end around a window. My counter extends beyond the window by a few inches---do I end the backplash at the counter or at the window? Also, aesthetically, would the backsplash look best up around the window to cabinet height or just up to the window frame?? We are using 1x1 inch mosiac tiles.

I would extend the tile to the edge of the counter and up to the window frame.

I agree with Torrus- and I would also have the tile run up to the bottom of the cabinets and step down to run under the window.

hmmmm....we will definitely have it run under the window, but with the counter only extending a few inches past the window and then window trim, there would only be about 3.5 - 4 inches of tile running up the window. My husband thinks it would be funny having such a tiny strip of tile along the window. What do you think???

These are always tricky decisions. I think that little bit going up the right side of the window might look a bit orphaned over there. But for sure make sure the tile goes all along under the window.
