sorbo dark grey & edge banding?

would it be silly to try to do an edge banding on the sorbo dark grey? i love the grey, don't love the birch trim. has anyone tried this? would you?

Re: sorbo dark grey & edge banding?

If you're thinking of edge banding along the lines of applying a thin veneer or laminate over the edge, it won't look good, since the factory applied edging is rounded off.

If you're thinking of removing it completely ... that could even be tougher.

You might be able to sand off the lacquer and restain with something darker ... not easy either, but prolly your best option for a decent outcome.

All in all, though, I wouldn't try.
