Exclamation I'm going crazy...

Hi all-
I want so badly to get feedback on my kitchen but cannot figure out how to post my photos. Despite reading the fabulous step-by-steps provided here.I cannot get tinypic.com to work for me

PLEASE .....someone tell me how to reduce the size of my image (.jpg) file on my pc (Dell, less than a year old). (I have the original images in adobe photoshop album, put there from my digital camera) so I may upload directly from my computer.
I just spent and an hour + trying to get tinypic to work. When i go to attach the image in my post it tells me i have the incorrect file extension despite having typed in the url exactly correct?

please help.

Thank you-
Lori

Re: I'm going crazy...

Have you tried uploading them to the gallery from your computer rather than trying to use tinypic? If you click the "Upload to Gallery" link just below the smilies in the post editor, it should open a new browser all setup to upload the pictures to the gallery. Once you have them uploaded, just click the other link in the same place "My Gallery" and you'll get a really nice little popup that will let you just click on any images you have uploaded to drop them into your post wherever you want to. The you get the neat little popup like this one here, so that folks can see a larger image without leaving your post.

Re: I'm going crazy...

This is the way i tried to do it the first time...and it told me my image size was to large. (over 1 MB)So i ws directed to use tinypics to create a smaller file prior to upload.

So i need to make my file smaller before i can go any further. Do you know how?

Re: I'm going crazy...

That shouldn't be right... The Gallery will accept images larger than that.what kind of image is it, IOW what's the extension or last three characters of the image file name? .jpg?

Re: I'm going crazy...

Found something that *might* have been causing the problem? Give it a try again?

Re: I'm going crazy...

Heading off to bed... If you're still having a problem with it, can you email the image you're getting an error on to me at james@ikeafans.com? I'll take a look at it in the morning and see if I can figgle out what's causing a problem.

Night!
