We are considering IKEA kitchen sinks and faucets for a 20-unit apartment rehab project. Local plumbing authorities require all fixtures to be certified in compliance with ASME, ANSI or IAPMO plumbing standards. I tried to get an answer from IKEA store employees but they didn't really appear to comprehend the concept of plumbing fixture certification. Does anyone know of any channel through which that information might be obtained? Either the fixture needs to be labeled / stamped with the UPC symbol, or the paperwork needs to list compliance. Any help is appreciated.

Did anyone ever check this? I see that there are various certifications, but our inspector thinks that only UPC approval will do. He's also a brand new inspector who had his handbook our while he was doing our initial plumbing inspection... so there's that...
