I was checking out the preview of the catalog and the kitchen part was making me so excited!!!

There's a Adel MB kitchen for sale that I really want but my husband is too nervous to jump on it. A chef who sold his house and is moving several states away just found out that the buyer is building a McMansion and said anything left in the house is going to the landfill. He just made the kitchen 3 to 6 months ago and has REALLY high end appliances and the IKEA style I love, and most or more than the pieces I need.

Oh well, if it hasn't sold yet, I have until the end of July before the house is destroyed. So sad.

the chef's kitchen sounds like a wonderful opportunity for someone to pick up a really nice kitchen ... what's your husband nervous about ? Is it just nerves in general or are there specific concerns that we could help you to address ??

If they don't sell that stuff they should donate it to an organization like Habitat for Humanity. It would be a real shame to simply dump it.

One, I think he's nervous about the money, but now it sounds like we're going to go over the monthly budget and bank accounts tonight. This last month has been expensive, but I believe we have 12-18k total in our bank account plus money market account/emergency fund. He's not really used to doing finances OR DIY projects, which I love and have done.

I think he's also scared of 'the project' never getting done and all of my IKEA plans I've made over the last 2 years overwhelm him (even when I just show him one). At least he admits he doesn't like making decisions.

I REALLY dislike our kitchen. We bought the house knowing we would replace it and I'm getting really impatient. I have celiac sprue, so I want a functional kitchen to work in. Currently, I believe we've cooked more meals over to his parents house and my friend's townhouse than we've made in our house.

Anyways, the kitchen comes with (or can come with)

• Professional Grade Cooktop - Frigidaire PLGC36S9C
• General Electric Monogram ZET958 Double Oven
• Jenn-Air JFC2089HES French Door Bottom-Freezer Referigerator
• 3 - 15" x 88" pantries - tons of drawers
• 1 - 24" x 88" pantry - tons of drawers
• 1 - 30" x 88" double oven pantry
  
• 2 - 36" drawer base cabinets
• 3 - 15" or 18" drawer base cabinets
• 2 - Corner base cabinets, one which has the corner sink
• etc, Ikea wood block counters, granite tile, boxes of floor tile, and other stuff if I like.

Anyways, depending on what I want, $5500 for everything, or $2200 for everything but the appliances, or $3500 for everything minus the pantries and refridgerator. And its really nice that everythings only 3 to 6 months old.

thank you so much for posting the link to that preview. I saw there is going to be a Rubrik blue-gray, and I am about to freak out from excitement. I was so sad to see the Applad blue-grad was discontinued, and I HOPE HOPE HOPE this color is similar!!

In Houston, Ikea 2009 catalogs were distributed on Sunday, July 27 with the local newspaper.

Just to tell you, we just finished renovating our new kitchen in Adel MB and I LOVE IT!! However, they are discontinuing it here in Switzerland and replacing it with a MB Nexus...you might want to check if they're continuing the Adel where you are before you buy...because if you need anything else to complete your kitchen it might be hard to find.
