Granite Breakfast Bar- Support

Hello, I'm looking to install a granite breakfast bar similar to this picture that I found in a magazine. I called the designer and he said he ordered the support in the photo from IKEA. I can't find them online anywhere and I'm wondering if they still sell them. Anyone know what these are?

can't open it, but i'm going to take a blind shot that you're talking about capita supports. the ikea website is lacking, so it's not really indicative of much.

Thanks for the reply! Do the Capita legs angle out? I'll try to attach the pic again. I'm looking for something to angle out, not go straight up and down...

Re: Granite Breakfast Bar- Support

These are the capita supports...I had been considering this then changed my mind going a completely different route. I'm in Canada and saw them just last week at an IKEA store...$50 for a pair...most kitchen items I have found to be like 15-35% more in Canada than the US though. Don't get me started on that though.

They were just hanging on the wall along with drawer dividers, rail systems...etc. in the kitchen department.

I do like the look of these but decided I wanted a wider bartop and one that had a closed wall to the counter to mount electrical outlets (lots of discussions on that in this site but for me, I want the outlets in front of me at the counter, not around the side of the island. Personal choice. I still do like the look of the capita supports though. I had seen a previous post sometime back with close up shots of someone who recently mounted these and how he mounted them into his granite countertop that he installed himself...he even made little boxes for his electrical outlets that sat on his counter.

Re: Granite Breakfast Bar- Support

I want to install a silestone breakfast bar using capita legs. The installer is unsure how to do this. We can attach the legs to the bottom of the bar because it will be wood but we are unsure how to attach through the silestone. Is there a specific way to drill the holes and/or secure the bottom of the capita leg in the counter.

I'm desperate for pictures and/or directions on how to install. I really want this contempory look and I'm on a time schedule to get the kitchen done.

I would appreciate any help! Thanks!
