It's 3/8" too wide.

Anyway it's really a microwave / range hood combo with fan and lights, but I did not find out until I opened the package.

The way the unit is displayed in the store leads one to think it will go in a 30" cabinet.

Ikea would do much better to display it over a range top and maybe even put a "will not fit in 30" cabinet" label next to it.

The 30" oven does ft into the 30" cabinet which is 28.5" inside, but the Snabb like most OTR microwaves requires a 30" opening.

Ikea is, as always, very good at taking stuff back, but once the package is cut open according to the instructions, it's going to be hard to sell to the next customer.

I now have on order a Frigidaire 24" builtin microwave with a stainless 30" trim kit.

I'm sure they can put it in the As-Is for 20% off and it'll go.

The only time I saw them completely deny someone was a young couple w/a bed frame & mattress, completely out of the package, stuffed into plastic, and no receipt. They would've taken it if the people had had the receipt.

Make sure you keep yours!
