A month in planning, shopping and price comparison. We decided on going with IKEA kitchen cabinets. The only splurge was paying for them to be delivered (next day) and paying an approved IKEA installer to put them up (completed in 8 hours). Thanks! I've enjoyed and appreciated the comments on this forum, which has helped in our decision-making in going with Ikea. In my experience, we continuously buy Ikea because it allows us to be creative, apply designs without the expensive overhead, and gives us the modern (yet not tacky) results.
Do u mean that that the parts and installation all totaled 5000.00? I ask only because I recently got a quote from an ikea installer and she quoted a price 3500 and my cabinets with some appliances another 4500
Cabinets, 2 sinks, 2 faucets, range hood, doors, door handles, dining room light fixture, delivery, and installation. These were all Ikea. The countertop is included in the budget, but we got that from Home Depot.
Time and effort it took to design, decide, and dispose -- priceless. There were so much packaging materials to get rid of!
