extended cabinet / counter please review

I have a concept not sure to go through or not...

In this picture I have added these new cabinets (with the wood colored top) into the dining room area, I can't show it in the picture, but these will be resting on wood or plywood to have a height of around 31" (table height) so that it could does not get too tall to cover the window.

The top will be butcherblock like the rest of the kitchen. But the height is dropped when exiting the kitchen..

This will have alot of storage and serving guests will be nice also. That area is a actually a nitch where the right side of end cabinet is actually a wall 24" deep..
I am just brain storming as that area I really do not walk on, and I think need storage and counter space more than anything.

Another option is a bench made by 2 36x15" cabinets and cushion.

Does anyone have some ideas also? Maybe create a more desk like look or message center?

Are you still going with the 36" sink? you have very little counter space.

Nope, I didn't update the drawing, but I am going with a regular drop in sink now. I don't want to do the 24" because I can't seem to get it centered by the window and this is one thing that is important to me.

I would say don't be afraid to consider blocking a few inches of window (assuming no code violations). Otherwise stick with your peninsula because you need more counter height workspace.

Can't your kitchen be in an U shape?

I can't see where you have doors, so moving the Fridge to the right side of the pantry adding more counter space there, rotating the table, or not, moving the Range a bit move to the right, and that way leave the Window alone, no cutting feet, no toe kick special, no unflushed horizontal base line, etc.

Other views of your space would help understand, and maybe talk about other solutions for extra storage, counter space, and so on.
