Design Diva suggested I post my plans, so here they are.
I'm having a problem getting the planner to let me put in my refrigerator. It should fit in the hole though. This kitchen is part of a great room, so the space in front of the kitchen is the dining room, and where the "wall" is next to the pantry is really open to the living room. Any input is welcome. This is my first kitchen design.
Thanks for your help. I hope the attachments work!

See the overheard view,
Get a square or bigger island. Make sure it's big to fill up that space. If there's a wall on both sides, why not just createa new counter top to the right wall so it's basically an island attatched to the wall. Make it big.
Thanks MikeDavid. Unfortunately, when the space is actually laid out in the room, I don't have room to make the island any larger because I plan to put a dining table in there as well. But I'm content with it. Does anybody else have any ideas? I would definitely prefer to learn from your experiences than to learn the hard way! Thanks!
I was going to suggest a longer island as well, or a U shaped kitchen, essentially joining up the rounded decorative open shelving with the island- I know they are set a different "depths" right now. I am a big believer in releiving or managing traffic flow through kitchens, and you can both control traffic this way and get a lot more storage and contiguous counter this way. What is the measurement you're leaving for your fridge in the plan, and what fridge are you using? New, or existing?
I thought about joining the island there next to the dishwasher, but I don't think it would allow enough room for me to put a table on the other side. Right now there's something like 8 feet, and then there just wouldn't be enough. We are building a new house, so it's a new fridge (not purchased yet). I've left 36" for it. I think the problems with it may have something to do with the cab that I put over the fridge??
Yes, it probably does have to do with that cab- take that out and see what happens for your own sanity. Have you considered a banquette which takes up a lot less space? I'm afraid it's going to be a busy space with that much going on...can you get the table in there in the drawing?
I disagree...I have a true floating island and had considered creating a peninsula instead, but I am very, very glad that I have the extra aisleway. It really relieves traffic, so I say leave the island as it is. You might want to extend the countertop off the back to create an eating bar if you've got the space, or even add some shallow cabinets to the back of it to increase storage.
I would like to see a bit more countertop to the right of the range, that's a narrow area and needs to serve both as a landing spot for the fridge and to serve the range. If you cut your pantry down to a 24 or 15 width, you could fit a 30" drawer cabinet there which would give you nearly the same storage but more counterspace than the double pantry.
I always recommend the deep overfridge cabinets, they are fabulous storage spaces. You'll want a bit of filler between the fridge and the next cabinet to allow the shallower wall cabinets to open against the fridge side.
Unless you have a lot of decorative stuff to display, I'd go for a base cabinet instead of the Perfekt unit to the left of the sink.

Ok I figured it out.
-Take the dish washter and move it to the right of the oven.
-Then shuffle over the fridge to the right one. You will lose one cabinet spacing.
-Now you will have a huge island attatched to where the sink is, all the way to the end of the window. It will be large and people when they come over can hang out there by the window. Under the island (attatched to wall under window), put a nice wine fridge for looks. You'll get extra storage under there too to make up for the cabnites lost where the fridge is.
Problem solved
If you have the Ikea file I can show you what I mean.
