I'm going to do a little ikea hack to make a combined room divider/kitchen island/shelving unit using the Norden Occasional table, Stolmen series and some parts form my local RONA.
I was wanting to add a little something-something to the table-top of the Norden that I saw in the store. I can't find it online, but it's like a little countertop that sits on top of your real counter top on diagonally-oriented legs. Does anyone know what this little thing is called, or even just the "legs" and whether it is still available?
Yes, they are called standoffs and they are part of the Capita line of legs from IKEA. Ask for them in the Kitchen Department, most stores carry them but you need to get an order from the Kitchen area to get them pulled.
The CAPITA countertop bracket is still in the range, so fear not! It's article # is 400-511-96. You might want to give your local IKEA a call and see if they have it in stock. Good luck!
Yes this is correct. They're often used for custom made counter tops so they aren't really promoted as stand alone items in the store.
