Perhaps I should use the search button, but those words are so commonly used in here that I'd probably come up with a million hits to sort through.
After putting the Adel medium brown door on my corner cabinet, I notice on the left side I can see the melamine through, and it doesn't look too attractice to me. Do others have this problem? Is there a strip, like the ones that come with the toe kick that I would use? Would it be possible to iron on the toe kick cover strip to this, or is that not going to work too good? Can the door be adjusted more to the left so it's not showing? Of course, if I did that, then I'd see the right. I have the door mounted on the right side of the cabinet.
Also, another thing... One of the MOST ANNOYING things I have ran into with putting the doors on is those white plastic things that go into the holes inside the cabinet. If you put them on in the wrong place, or put them on backwards, and you tighten the screws, you are SCREWED! I couldn't find a way to cleanly remove them, they end up getting destroyed... And in fact in one case, it snapped off and the plastic was still in the hole and I couldn't get the plastic off! So, I took a 3/8 inch drill bit and drilled the **** out of the hole and the plastic ended up wrapping around my drill bit so I was able to get it out when I came back in reverse... Thank god, otherwise I wouldn't have known what to do, as I needed to use that hole for the hinges, it was just not on correctly.
The "plastic things" (what are they actually called anyway?)that come with the hinge screws can in factbe easily removed after being installed. As with every other piece of Ikea hardware, you just have to figure out the secret trick...
Here's the deal: just totally remove the screws first, pull the hinge out and use a small flat headscrewdriver toUNSCREW the "plastic things" from their holes.
If you look closely at one of the "plastic things" you will notice that they havea thread on the outside.
As for your Adel door on the corner cabinet, do you have the 1/2" thick bumper installed? It's a half dome and there are two to go on the bottom of the cabinet frame or the door (although easier to get it right on the cabinet frame than the door). This helps to hold the door out at the proper angle and it hides the frame better. There may still be a bit that shows through, but it's MUCH less apparent with the bumpers in place.
Here's a pic:
Hope that helps!

Susan - is there an advantage of putting the bumper on the frame, or was it in the instructions like that? I put mine on the door not even really thinking about it. Just wondering.
I think the advantage is in positioning it...if you're putting it on the door, you have to get it in the right 3/4" on the door horizontall, or it won't do you any good. That's the only advantage I can see.

At my local IKEA store here in San Diego, they put the bumper on the cabinet itself...
Anyone else have any other ideas for covering up the melamine? At the store, even with the bumper on you could still see melamine, I just want to cover that part up!!!!

By the way, I notice in your photo that you can really see the mitre joint where the 2 pieces of plinthare joining.... Is that normal, or is this picture just really magnifying the situation there? I'm wondering if you could get some good wood filler and hide it a little bit more? Has anyone here found a good wood filler that matches the Adel Medium brown door style?
Several people have "covered up the melamine" by changing the edgebanding. It's pretty simple to do if you can find a matching banding, or stain one to match. Alot of edge bandings come pre-glued and you just iron them on. Easier to do when the cabinet is not yet assembled, but not impossible if it's already put together.
There are some pictures around here of it done with the Nexus black brown. Do a search on edge, banding and you should find pictures and an explanation.
Hope that helps!
