Post

I've just been using the IKEA Kitchen Planner for the past week, so I started right in with IKP2007:1. It seems be working ok, although I hate that I often have to override the "snap-to" feature (using CTRL key). I'm really stumped, though, on how to install wall cabinets over base cabinets. I've tried 100 times and can't make it work. I just installed IKP2006 and found that I could do this with easy, so what am I doing wrong in IKP2007?!

Would greatly appreciate some help with this. Thanks.

The 2007 planner is pretty lame. It's very picky about what you can put where! You might want to change your ceiling height (that's in the first screen, where you put in the wall sizes and windows and doors etc) and that might work. Sometimes it helps to stick all the cabinets together and then move them as a group.

I've only used the 2006 planner, but the way I found to stack was to put a cabinet somewhere in the room in the plan view, then switch to the 3D view which would allow stacking.
