Thanks. It's the terminology that gets me every time. I'm originally from England and this is my first big project since I have lived here.

A trip to Home Depot feels like I need a dictionary...lots of gesticulating and pointing! This is the area where the language barrier stands firm!

I took a little break from the forum, but I've been enjoying reading the recent posts. I finally got my cookbook library bookcases in (Billy in Brown Black), and finished our very purple dining room, which I adore! I thought I'd post those pix and a couple of others. I have had a number of questions about the cutting board nook/storage we made with a little gap, so I'm posting a better picture of it too. I found that it works really well as wine storage on the top shelf, allowing me to store bottles 2 deep, since the depth is 24". Bonus!
