Almost final Kitchen Plans
Hi all,
Been working on this kitchen for the past couple weeks and I'd like to hear what you guys have to say about it.
It initially started out with Nexus YB, but I've since switched to Adel MB.
Yep, I've stuck two large white Abstract units between the window and patio door with the intention to light them up from the inside through a more milky glass pane.
Full disclosure...I'm not a designer. That said I think the island kills your "work triangle" If you need the storage maybe a stand alone table or cart would be more appropriate.
Welcome! Hi there. I agree, it doesn't look like you really have room for that island. You might be able to "borrow" some room in what I assume must be the dining space, with shallow cabinets acting as pantries or a buffet sort of arrangement.
People usually use the white Rubrik to get that opaque lighted white look.

Interesting reading about that triangle. I spent so much time trying to think where things should go to be available that I didn't even think of what I'd be doing most often.
In any case, I've updated my overhead with my current "kitchen triangle".
Looks good. A possibility that I see is to omit the island all together and instead butt that area up against your pantry, next to the fridge...a penninsula. You may have room for a couple of stools. Not very good if there's more than one cook though.
Do you need that extra space for eating or is there somewhere else to dine? Because the fridge/pantry set is really crowding the corner and the island just doesn't have enough room around it to work well.
