Welcome to IKEAFANS Makamaka!!
You've come to the right place in order to get your kitchen renovation started, going and completed.
the first thing we need to remember is to breathe. A kitchen renovation takes a lot of breaths away, specially in the starting stages.
I would encourage you to post JPEGS of the layout you "might" be envisioning for your future kitchen. Once that is done, you will get output from folks here who have designed kitchens for themselves and helped others like yourself in the process.
I have gotten 2 kitchens done - one is mine, the most recent one is my mom's. For both, I received great output from folks here. Additionally, I received great install services from Chuck. It's great that we have a great installer that will travel distances such as NY, which is where both my mom's and my kitchen are located. I imagine NJ being closer to him, it would work out. Give him a shout out to see if it would work for you as well.
In the interim, take a look at my gallery (you can click on it just below my username, to the left) to see my kitchen install. I have yet to upload mom's kitchen pics, as it's slated to be completed tomorrow and Thursday. The in-progress pics I currently have, I've been lazy to upload.
Wishing you the best during your kitchen renovation.
