I was in the Ikea store this weekend working on my new kitchen plan and the saleman told me that the Faberland units are being discontinued in August. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it just the kitchen doors or everything? Half my furniture is Faberland.
Oh, that's terrible news! Fagerland is such a neat style, and really added some diversity to the mix. Maybe they'll be replacing it with something equally interesting?

is often the last to know, so I wasn't surprised when my Ikean had heard nothing.... i had them do a draft order of just my doors so if i have to pull the trigger i can!!! i've got my entire bottom floor decorated around Fager in the kitchen. ugh!!!!

I love the Faberland doors...should I reconsider my decision? I will be putting in a kitchen probably in July and they will discontinued in August?
Well, look at the bright side: you'll probably be able to get those doors with a huge discount. I got some spare doors for my kitchen at 75% off when Kalsebo was being discontinued.
I'd been considering getting Fagerland doors because I wanted a door that would be easy to paint. I will be keeping on the lookout for when they are marked down.
My experience has been that they go on sale before the date they are being discontinued. Last year when Kalsebo was being discontinued in Aug. they went on sale in June at the
