I think there are people rearranging their whole concept of their kitchen to be able to include this door! It's been very popular. The other one that generated alot of excitement was the Arlig Medium Brown...alas, apparently the North American market isn't getting it.

I've been back to the Schaumberg Ikea several times just to view the Nexus Black/Brown doors in different lights. I love them, but I'm worried sometimes that bright light on them will show how thin the stain appears. I think I might be driving myself crazy, because I love love love these cabinets and have planned to use them in my kitchen when the time comes. In another thread, someone mentioned having to go back to their store once or twice because some of the doors she received were off stain-wise, but I don't know how common that is. The Ikea person I spoke with said she hasn't heard that complaint with the Nexus BB.

Go for it!

I think the brown black is beautiful. For anyone who lives near a store, it's always a good idea to bring a door home to look at in your own home for awhile. Of course if your kitchen remodel is greatly increasing the available light you'll still be missing something. But I still think it helps to live with it for a few days.

I am installing the bb for my kitchen, and although I have not yet installed, I do have a door sitting in the living room with a halogen light pointing right at it. I haven't noticed the stain looking thin.

BB has been so poular in Canada that it was originally available in July, then after a couple of weeks was not available anywhere until October.

Now all I have to do is get off my butt and get mine installed

i love LOVE LOVE it! i already had stat white in my kitchen and the bar area of my family room, but needed something dark for a media center located between the two. then came nexus bb. it was instant love. my media center is to die for. i used birch cabinets and i love how they peek out the sides (i was initially afraid of the contrast). in fact i love the bb so much that i'm using it for the doors on my nook bench (which i still need to finish!!!)

yup, i'll absolutely post pictures of everything once i can clear things up just a bit. i have touched every inch of my house during this kitchen remodel. i'm trying to get so much done and the kitchen is the only reasonable workspace... so, once the dust clears i'll take pics and post them. cross my heart.

(actually my hubby would probably tell you that once i'm done with this one woman show i'll be erecting billboards announcing my accomplishments. did i mention i'm doing this all alone. he held two peices of sheet rock and cheers me on daily.)

Loooooovvvvvvveeeeee them. . We were just commenting on how they really make our kitchen. We had planned Hallarum initially and, while I still love Hallarum, the BB just takes our kitchen to a different level. Of course, everyone else might hate it
