37" corner cabinet reinforcement

I am waiting for my 3 cm Silestone countertop arrival and in the mean time decided to reinforce the corner cabinet since it didn't look very sturdy for such a load. I build a "T" shape bar from two pieces of wood and attached it to the cabinet walls (I hope that photos below are self-explanatory). The result is a rock solid frame ready for heavy load.

Looks great but FYI , the counters rest on the tops of the sides, not the crossbars. The cabs are engineered to take the weight, really they are!

You're absolutely right about sides, but the problem is that the countertop in not the whole piece, it consists of two parts which should join somewhere above the bar I installed and the area without support is relatively large IMHO . Else, I ordered 30 mm stone and will not have a plywood underneath. The standard Ikea crossmembers connecting sides are long and very weak and just bending from the light touch. I was afraid that placing something heavy on the countertop in that area could create problem.
