How should I incorporate Abstrakt Gray?

so, i got my horizontal avsikts (yay!), i got bigger cabinets when i discovered i had extra room (yay!). i'm about to order countertops (yay!)...

all that's left is to decide how (if at all) to incorporate the beautiful abstract gray....

Re: How should I incorporate Abstrakt Gray?

Do you know how the ABSTRAKT Grey looks up against the rolling front cabinet? I might consider a vertical stripe of grey there if they match reasonably well.

If you keep the wall cabinets birch on that wall then, I'd keep to birch/avsikt on the other side on the top, and mix in some gray at the bottom. Maybe the sink base? Are you doing anything different with the sink base that you can't show here? Tall doors, maybe? Memory is leaking. lol

Re: How should I incorporate Abstrakt Gray?

the sink cabinet is next to the DW , tall door.

i had originally thought of doing all base cabinets in gray, but there's a birch open shelf in the next to the cabinet with the roll top on it. i just realized you can't see it in the pictures i posted, ugh. so it would be deep gray cabinet, birch open shelf (shallow) then gray shallow cabinets...which i think would look weird.

so then i thought just do gray in the main kitchen area and leave the "Storage" area on the other wall all birch. this option is also cheaper....

then i thought, well, why not ALL the cabinets in the main area in gray and all the storage area cabinets in birch?

in all options i'm using birch cover panels even on the gray base cabinets.

Re: How should I incorporate Abstrakt Gray?

I LOVE A!!! With the bases gray and the uppers no gray.

I can't even believe you have D (no gray) in the running.

I saw the Gray at my Ikea near the birch and it IS AMAZING!

well, D is the budget winner

my concern with all gray bases is two fold...the open shelf in birch that is already installed and money.

Re: How should I incorporate Abstrakt Gray?

Perhaps a minimal cost version that still looks pretty integrated would be to have those two rows of horizontals above the avikst be gray? They'd be showcased that way and you wouldn't have any conflict with existing installed woodtones.

Although, I don't think that having some wood in the line with the abstrakt gray will look bad at all.

so C? all gray in the "main" area, all birch in the "storage" area?
