The build quality of the cupboards was surprisingly high, comparable to other brands of twice the price.

Fantastic. Abstrakt White is on of my favorite door styles. Love the clean simplicity. Normally, I don't care for mosaic tile backsplashes. But yours is perfect. Strong and powerful, it stands it's own in the glossy limelight, but it is still very subtle and understated. I really like it!
p.s. That powerstrip is pretty brilliant too. I need to steal that idea. What is it?

Thank you. Room height is 270 cm (~106 inches says the converter) which is a bit more than the standard here and was just enough to accommodate the additional cupboards.
I considered using a glass panel instead of mosaic but the one I found looks even better in real life than in the pics with two different shades of glossy white.
The powerstrip in the picture and two additional ones in the corners for the coffee makers and grinders plus the swiveling lights (not really shown in the pictures) are from Thebo, a German maker (THEBO - Theben Lichttechnik - lichttechnische Spezialfabrik). I bought mine from Küchenkonsum (Online-Shop). Suppose there could be an issue with US sockets, though.

I have found Bredskär sink very practical. I had two smaller sinks before but washing up big wine glasses or cast-iron pans was difficult. Bredskär is big enough, it looks great (industrial enough that is) and quality seems to be ok. Made in
Greece
if I remember right.
