Question need help with cooktop/oven

Ok, I'm thoroughly confused at this point. I've tried to gauge the different measurements to see if my cooktop oven wall oven would work from various posts but no avail. Need help!

Here's what I'm trying to do. I have a 30" gas cooktop and want to place it over a 30" wall oven in a 30" base cab. The cooktop is 28 3/8" wide and 4" tall (both measurements of the part that goes under counter). The wall oven measures 28 1/2" wide and 27 1/4" tall (measurements are also for the cutout minimum required). I have been told that the granite counter tops I'll be getting are 1 1/4" tall. As of now, I don't know if this will fit and hesitating to over the oven and the base cabinet for this.

From other posts, I understand that the horizontal interior width of the 30" base cab is just 28 1/2", so that works for both the widths of the oven and cooktop. Will it fit height-wise? I also don't understand the reinforcement necessary by using a oven shelf. How does that work? Is there room left to use the shelf when the must oven rest on the bottom of the base cabinet?
Confused!

Okay, I'll try to help. The height of the entire base cabinet is 30". You will have a 1.25" countertop on top of it, giving you a total height of 31.25". The only portion of this height that you won't be able to use (put stuff in) is the bottom panel, which is .75". So, that leaves you with a total usable height of 30.5" from the top surface of your countertop to the inside bottom of the cabinet.

If I'm reading your post correctly, you need 4" for the cooktop and 27.25" inches for the oven. 27.25+4 = 31.25", so I would say, no it won't fit. The only way I could see it possibly fitting is in a puzzle piece way (like one piece is high where the other is low, and magically they go together), but you would need to have both pieces in hand and really measure it to know if that'll work.

The base cabinet is actually 30 3/8" high, but that is not enough for your measurements...you could raise the granite level a little to give yourself enough clearance (3/8"). You may want to double check the height of the wall oven - cut-out height may not be the same as the unit height. The wall oven can sit on the floor of the cabinet - no seperate shelf required.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I ended up purchasing a Bosch oven as it is only 23" in height, thereby giving me more than enough room between it and the cooktop bottom. That was to avoid risk and save myself the headache down the road during installation. The granite guy said he's not raising the slab as he prefers it sit right on the cabinet, so much for that. But anyway, Bosch oven (YAY!)
