My wife and I are installing the Domsjo single sink, with a Moen single-hole faucet (Moen Anabelle). We want to have a filtered water faucet as well (unless someone has a recommendation for an under-sink filter system for the main faucet that doesn't reduce the water flow too much). I found information here about the "punch out" holes available in the Domsjo sink, however those are too close to the main faucet it seems to use for the filtered water faucet. Any advice on how to add the faucet further away when using the Domsjo single sink?

I will try to remember to ask my husband which under-sink filter we got. The water pressure is just fine with it -- too strong sometimes, even. We have the Domsjo and one of the IKEA faucets (Elverdam, I think). When I find out, I'll post the info about the filter.

The Domsjo single has 5 potential hole spots. I've read on here somewhere that if you have escutcheon plates (especially with those - probably goes for all installations) you should use the two on the far sides and one in the middle and skip the other two. Otherwise things get too crowded

So you could easily do a single hole faucet, water dispenser, and a soap dispenser on the other side if you wanted.

Thanks. The challenge for us is that the flow control handle on the faucet extends off to the right (Moen Anabelle) , and that pretty much takes out of play the two holes to the right. We could -- and very well may -- install the drinking water faucet in the hole furthest to the left, but it is still tight. The tip of the pull out faucet will just hit the top of the drinking water faucet if you swivel the main faucet to the left. Not the end of the world, but a bit cramped.

If we had more time, I'm sure we could find another faucet and / or drinking water faucet that we liked that didn't crowd each other so much. However, we're chugging away on this project to get it all done before a baby arrives. And the work started today :-)

Why not install the faucet one off center to the right and then the drinking one on the far left?

Just thinking out of the box. I'm sure it will work out either way.

Hmm, I didn't notice earlier that you have the single Domsjo. Ours is the double. Anyway, our water filter is this one:

3M Filtrete Professional. We haven't noticed any issues with water flow at all. I do see that one reviewer at Amazon says that the water flow slowed down, but other reviewers aren't saying that, and it hasn't been our experience. So you might want to try one of those instead of putting holes in the sink. I love the filter we have.

Another possibility is to install the faucet with the handle to the front. People do this all the time. Initially people started doing it when they didn't have enough clearance to move the handle all the way if it was mounted on the side, but then once everyone realized how much it minimalizes dripping on the counter, it's become popular even when not mandated by how far back the sink is.
