I have seen couple of pictures of base cabinet with built in microwave. I looked in catalog, but having no luck. Which cabinet did anyone use for the built in microwave?
We are about to order the cabinets this Friday, and I wanted to make sure I got them all right before ordering.
Look forward to hear from you all.

You can use whatever cabinet width will fit your microwave (a 24 or 30 inch most likely), and then trim it out in front with a cover panel or a kit from Micro-Trim Inc.. You would order a set of shorter doors, the ones that usually go with a fan cabinet, instead of the regular height doors. Be aware that you need to allow for proper venting depending on the specs of the microwave and you'll have to have an outlet installed in the cabinet.

YES, James! That's the one I was looking at and sent you private email about that built in microwave. I was wondering how she did that? She did a beautiful beautiful job!
With Eva's awesome idea, it looks like we will use the the 'above refridgerator' cabinet that is 30"
W
x 15"
H
x 24"D as the bottom part with two doors, add the legs to the bottom of that cabinet, and buy panel cover and modify it to the same size, and make it as top part for the microwave. My microwave is only 23 3/4"W by 13"H, so with Eva's suggestion to use microtrim which I love it, and want to thank her for BIG help. I will go ahead and use that.
Now you both got me EXCITED about the cabinets. I will be posting the floor plan in the progress blog in a few minutes. I just need to figure how to download the picture into this.
Look forward to hear more from you all.

W definition
W is a wall cabinet designation, as in W18, can be a stand-in for Wide, or when followed by a / stands for With.
H definition
H can be a stand-in for Height or when followed by *** can have an entirely different meaning.
Glad to hear that, Kelly! So you're planning on using the deeper overfridge cab as a base cabinet and just use the top of it as the shelf for the microwave? That's a great idea!
It looks like Jecca used a 24"x18" door, but I'm not sure if her cabinet is a base cabinet or the overfridge cab.
Hi Eva,
If Jecca use the 18"
H
x 24"D, then the pieces would be white and shown, but how hers has adel MB around the microwave? That s what I thought I'd use the cover panel to make shelf out of for the microwave.
Any suggestion?

It looks like there are four pieces of cover panel lining the inside. I can't tell, though, if the cabinet on the bottom is a separate overfridge cabinet or if it's just the 24x18 door on a 24x36high cabinet. If it's a base cabinet, the shelf is set just below the door and the cover panel on top of that, I think.
Looks like it's time for some reverse engineering...
If you magnify the picture below by 150% or so and look at the gap on top of the microwave, you will notice the lighter wood of the base cabinet side wall showing behind what looks like some sort of frame around the front, which is not quite as thick as the drawer/door fronts next to it (strips of cover panel maybe?).
The shelf where the microwave stands might look like it's made from a piece of cover panel, judging by its thickness. Except that it's hard to tell if it goes all the way to the back though.
But by considering the position of the shelf in relation to the door, it looks more likely that it could be just an edge piece of cover panel, hiding the top part of the front edge of a regular shelf (the rest being covered by the door).
And finally the bottom door is of course 24"x15", as it covers exactly half the height of the base cabinet.
So basically all one needs to replicate this installation is a 24" base cabinet frame, a 24"x15" door, one shelf and a few strips of cover panel.
You're welcome! May I have some chocolate chip cookies instead?
I just try to follow what that Bill of Ockham dude used to say: usually the simplest explanation is the one that makes the most sense (or something like that)...
And
btw
, adding to that previous post, I would also suggest using that 24"x15" door as a drawer front for a 24" deep drawer, for a more efficient use of that space under the microwave.
