Still designing after all this time...HELP!

So....the working design right now is called "with microwave shelf" but the plan is to cut the shelf down to as shallow as i can while still accomadating my microwave (yet to be purchased). i was thinking i'd put a roll top cabinet underneath to contain the toaster oven and coffee maker.

then i started envisioning an entirely closed cabinet there. maybe a 17" doored cabinet under the microwave shelf to hold the other appliances? or a 24" wide tal cabinet that contained everything (though can i find a microwave that will fit into a 24" wide, shallow depth tall cabinet?).

then i though "hm, modifications. i could cut down a 36" wide tall cabinet instead of putting a 12" and 24" shallow depth tall cabient next to each other.

but what about the microwave, if i can't find one that fit in the shallow cabinet then i need to mod it so i can put a microwave in there somewhere.

sooo....any ideas? brilliance is welcome

I saved a file named Eva to your IKEASpace. I used a shallow base cabinet on the sink wall and glass uppers above, and on the other wall where you had the little cabinet I put glass front tall cabinets there. You could put the microwave either in one of the tall shallow cabinets, if you can find one to fit, or under the wall cabinet at the left end of the sink run. An OTR microwave can be mounted under a wall cabinet, or you can get an overcounter microwave for that area as well. Your toaster can go next to it on the counter, and you can make a shelf in your tall cabinet for appliances. You've got electricity right there to use.

HTH !

i cant' seem to find a shallow enough microwave...

to put it in a shallow cabinet.

also, I am planning on cutting a hole in that wall that you put the tall cabinets on to make a passthrought to the dining room but do wonder if i should reconsider to give myself more storage.

i do already have an OVR microwave that i was planning on getting rid of, but i could use it under teh cabinet instead, hhhmmmmm.

okay..i've modified again...

I'm thinking of stacking shallow 12" cabinets on either side of a 24" shallow base cabinet on the wall i am cutting a hole in to make a frame for the hole. does that make sense? i can't seem to get the planner to actually let me stack cabinets.
