Hey, I posted another plan dreamkitchen4. I can't say I'm in love with it but it does change the space. It has an off center window you might hate. For the counter you wanted under the window, think about droping the counter down to table height (30") or just under your window. We have a regular height workspace that comes right under a window and I love it. Looking at your old pictures it looks like there is a 30" stove with a 24" cabinet next to it, that would give you much more space then is in the plan now (you could fit a pullout cab next to the fridge.

Wendy

It is just much easier to lift and place the upper cabinets without the lower ones in place, also you take a chance on damaging the lower or floor.

Hi and welcome! Glad you're here.

Wendy did a great job with showing you some alternative layouts! I thought of another option which moves the fridge. I don't know how accurate your measurements are, a couple of inches would make a big difference, but take a look at the plan called Eva. Are your ceilings really 7'2"?

Let me know what you think!

Hey Eva,
I like your plan, nice way to get the appliances and work area out of the walk path. Glad you are back. I am almost finished with my kitchen, it's turned out great and I am so happy. Thanks for all your help. I'll post pictures in a few weeks, want to get the last few things done before I show.

Oooh, Wendy, I can't wait to see the pix! We don't really care about mess, you know...we all lived in a renovation zone, too!

Except for the Den (which remains TBD), my house is cleaner than it has ever been. All that new lovely storage (plus the fact that I got rid of most of my old stuff and bought wonderful new stuff). Will post soon.
