I love the slab front look but am worried about non-wood doors. What are folks experience long term with the Nexus Birch? I love the look more than Adel Birch, Adel Medium Brown, Tidaholm, or Askome Ash - but am worried about the longevity of particleboard doors.

Can folks provide some direction on this?

I have the Nexus birch for a year and a half and it is perfectly fine...that's with three kids and frequent large groups of people coming in and using them continually.

I have had a Nexus birch cabinet in my bathroom for several years. It gets opened/closed at least a dozen times per day; and is subjected to a lot of moisture from the shower steam. It remains very nice looking and the doors have stayed straight. We are considering using Nexus birch on our kitchen remodel after we move.

I have nexus birch both in my kitchen and in my bar. The kitchen was remodelled just over 2 years ago and I have absolutely no complaints. They have held up very well. No dings due to them being veneer over particle board. The one major ding I did would have dinged even the hardest of solid wood.

The only "damage" I've experienced has been from user error. I had a stack of drawers that were mis-adjusted and had some wear on the drawer tops and bottoms from rubbing. A quick sanding with some 400grit sandpaper and some touchup with some Deft Clear wood finish laquer -> semi gloss and they're good as new!
