Hi all,

I'm sorry if this question was already answered; I did a search & couldn't find what I was looking for. One of our kitchen base cabinets is only 18 inches deep (long story - modification involved taking out the back of a wall cabinet - not sure I know all of the details). I'd like to put some drawers in this cabinet. The standard rationell drawers are too deep and although I could use the 12" deep rationell drawers, I'd be wasting 6 inches of cabinet space (gasp!). So I'm looking into buying some other drawers &:drawer glides to install. Does anyone know where I would buy such a thing? Do home improvement stores like Home Depot sell drawers separately? I was interested in trying to get Blum drawers, but I looked at their site and everything was SO expensive. (The drawer glides alone were over $30; all of the components for just one drawer & glides was more than $70!) I guess I've gotten spoiled with IKEA prices and I'm hoping to find something in a similar price range.

Actually the drawers that fit the 12"D cabinets are only about 9" deep. Lots of places sell drawer glides. I don't think anyone comes close to IKEA's price for the nice Blum ones though. The less expensive non-full extension glides may be your best bet. Actual drawers that fit will be much harder to find, might be easier to make your own.

With some creativity I think it can be done.
