OK...I was thinking routing the plumbing through the cab would be more trouble than it was worth! But if you've already got it, then it should be no problem.

hmm. No idea how our plumbing was done in the current set up. I will have to ask DH tonight. I don't remember it being a pain at all when we did this little kitchen. But good point!

I bit the bullet and bought our cabinets yesterday. For now I just bought the lower base cabinets. I think I will live it in for a bit and decide whether I want an upper cabinet or two or if I will just do open shelves.

I worked with Pat at the New Haven Ikea. She was very nice and very helpful, but it took quite a while! My mom and SIL came with me to help with the kids. It was my SIL's first visit to IKEA. She was blown away!

Anyway - recent photos of our house progress can be seen on our blog:
http://timberbarn.blogspot.com/

By the time the kitchen is here we might actually be able to install it! I also ordered all our bathroom fixtures. I went with all Kohler in the Bancroft suite. Nice and simple. But my tub. Oh my tub!! Wahoo! I got the Kohler Tea for Two soaking tub. This thing is huge and deep!! Bring on the New England winter - I will be soaking it away in my 5 1/2 foot and 24 inch deep tub.

We finally have sunny weather. I have waaaay too much to do today!

Laurie - yes - we got the Fagerland. They paint up very nicely. And then I did the Nuremar Birch butcher block counter tops.

So much work to do on the house!! yikes!

And here is a photo of it in our house:

And my darling wonderful brilliant husband has found an Aga Six-Four in Claret that I think we can afford! A woman up in Vermont had bought it from a dealer going out of business and it has been in storage for a year. Here is a photo of the exact one she has:
