Congratulations on being DONE! I think the heaviest lifting you should do for the next two weeks should be a very full martini glass. You deserve it!
I cannot wait until your episode airs. It may sound a little silly, but I'm looking forward to pointing at the television when your kitchen is shown and saying "Do you see how gorgeous that is? I saw the whole process from start."
We're in that mode too((relaxing)) but we've still got a ways to go like flooring and backsplash and finishing the pantries. I'm glad to hear taping went well and that you're enjoying your time off!

I just MUST comment. I have been drooling over your kitchen pics and reading this blog the past couple of days, watching it all come together.
I have fallen in LOVE with your kitchen! Is it possible to be obsessed with someone else's kitchen? :?The wall color is just what I was thinking about for mine, (in fact, my bridesmaid's dresses last year were light green and it was called 'celery'-so elegant looking!) and the glass tiles...OMG...EXACTLY what I want too! We were thinking about Adel Birch, but now that I see yours with the colors I want and how gorgeous it looks...I'm swaying towards Adel Medium now. I can't wait to show this to DH so I can try to sway him too. I am planning to have cork floors, because I have tile now and my feet ACHE if I spend a long time in the kitchen. I love your floors though- we have a light maple hardwood through most of our main level and I love it.
I must admit, I'm a bit of a 'property-porn TV' addict (as my DH calls it). House Hunters isn't my fave but I've seen it a few times. It all seems so staged, but then all the shows are like that aren't they? Now I want to see your episode so I can "meet" you and see your kitchen in moving glory!
Please tell us when it will air so I can watch for it!
Hi Jenn--I've been following your blog through the process, though in the thick of my reno, I got behind. So I was so excited to see how beautifully your kitchen came out once the finishing touches were done. The color combos, the ambient light--everything! It's a terrific job.
The filming sounds like it was a bit stressful, but editors will know what to do with it. (I kind of like the HGTV "Designed to Sell," because I DO like to see what a bit of modest but quality upgrades and staging can do to improve a place, but I find the openhouse comments to be particularly banal: NOTHING about the bones of the place, and ONLY about the upgrades...Hmmmm... Clearly the upgrades are the only reason the place sold...)
We'll be watching for you, and like Emmie (I think it was Emmie), when we do, I'll feel like I was there from start to finish! Congratulations on a job well done. And ditto on the heavy martini lifting. You deserve it.
Min, I totally agree with you about the comments! i'm always thinking, the FURNITURE is going and the PAINT can be repainted...what about that stupid door in the middle of the wall and the bathroom with no floor space?!!! But people always comment about furniture and paint....:?
True enough! At least the House Hunters buyers are clearly seeing the places a little differently, i.e. as something they will make their own, and look at what a terrific job Jenn did in about 2 months. (Jenn, that's really interesting that they'll fake up a couple of house tours if local realtors aren't accommodating. That would explain some of the lack of interest on the part of the buyers in some shows--without being accompanied by the very quick pass through and instruction to the realtor, "Ok, this won't do: What's next on your list?")
This is a bit of a hijack, but I guess incorrectly about 2/3 of the time which house the buyers will choose. What does that say about me, and what's the track record of other particpants to the forum?
