Dave, looking excellent. But are you kidding me? Two weeks of demo, drywall and hanging cabinets and you already have a functional and nearly finished kitchen. Congrats on your speedy progress. BTW, what countertop are you using?

Tudi-
Thanks for the comments.. yeah, I'm trying to get things done as fast as possible. I'm getting married in August, and want to have the house good to go when my fiance moves in.

For the countertops, I'm going with a really dark green granite.. I have my fabricator coming out tonight to do some measurements. Hopefully, the process shouldn't take too long.

We're picking out tile for the floors and backsplash this week. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated on the progress.

Dave I meant to add that I really like those handles on the Lidingo. Makes them look a little more contemporary. Hope work on the kitchen is going well.

dave -- I missed this! Nice work! It's hard to believe it's the same room, but your skylight (?) gives it away. Amazing!

tudi66 -- thanks for bringing this one back to the top!

I'm with Tudi, and very jealous. I'm looking forward to seeing floor and counter choices. Also, I agree the handles are a good choice.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I think I'm going to hang on to the handles until everything else is installed, then make a decision. I have the countertops and floors coming in this week, so I'll be sure to send an update with pics when they are installed. Stay tuned!

Dave - Regarding the skylight: which direction do you get your light from? (N,S,E or W) and how do you likeit?

Reason I ask is I'm debating whether getting solartubes for our kitchen will help at all since it's north facing. It's pretty dark in there.

Laurie & Susan:

That's actually not a skylight. Sorry if the pictures are misleading. There is a soffit around my kitchen and I have some pretty bright halogen light fixtures in the open space above my main 'work area'. That would be cool if I had a skylight though... hmmm..

What an improvement! Your fiance is so lucky to be coming into a marriage with a great new kitchen!

Am I the only one who did not know about the spell check feature on this forum?
