How much is it going to be in use over the course of 2 years? Daily? How gently is it sat upon? I've seen someone crush a sturdy teak lounge chair by dropping on it from a standing position.

well for what it's worth, we've had an EKTORP leather sofa (the dark brown one) for 2 months or so and it's held up pretty well so far. my husband and I have a combined weight of about 320 lbs (we both sit on it in our living room, watching TV, etc probably for about a couple hours every day). we have not had any problems w / it whatsoever.
