You are very creative.
I love what you've done.
It's fun to look and especially find items in As-Is. I was fortunate enough to find 80% of my kitchen in the As-Is.

Re: IKEA Living Room Photo: AS-IS project

thank you after seeing the pictures I noticed some things that need a do-over...glad I took them or I would have never noticed it!

That's great about the kitchen, I'm also looking to find my new kitchen in the as-is section, so far 50% is here, 2 different styles though, so lets see which one will be complete first

Re: IKEA Living Room Photo: AS-IS project

Just wondering, how much did they charge for the tirup in the as-is? Looks like cloth, so I assume the original price was $350?

Re: IKEA Living Room Photo: AS-IS project

yes it's cloth and it was $120 + tax...I've been waiting for this one for months, they usually never discounted them more than 50%

Re: IKEA Living Room Photo: AS-IS project

Ooh, score! Yeah, the As-is section often does not go below 50%--was it being discontinued in that upholstery or something? I am seriously contemplating getting a (black leather) one off craigslist though. I have the feeling that the instant I get to an ATM I'll have decided. >.>

Re: IKEA Living Room Photo: AS-IS project

The one I bought was just an AS-IS display item (slightly dirty, but nothing major)
However, I'm not sure where you're located, but the Ikea Conshohocken just reduced the price of the one Tirup I have (the black and white one), it's only $199 new...I checked other ikeas, but it seems this is the only store...I'm not 100% sure, but I think I saw the leather one on sale as well and they had about 7-8 in stock of these...
IF the leather one is indeed on sale then it seems like the TIRUP line will be history very soon I'm absolutely in love with these chairs and if they are really going to be discontinued then I'm planning on buying a few and store them in my basement until I buy a bigger house to fit them all in

Re: IKEA Living Room Photo: AS-IS project

I just bought the black leather one off craigslist for $160, which I guess is not bad at all. :)

I don't think tirup is being discontinued, just the current fabric offering... there were "last chance" tags on them in south philly, but iirc not on the black leather. The leather and current b& w fabric are all still listed on the website at full price, too. I think this chair has been around for at least a few years, so I hope the sales are strong enough for them to keep offering it.

Oh, not-incidentally, I think I never commented on the room itself. XD Beyond the tasteful furnishings, I like your choice of gray walls and chartreuse accents. And the cat. GIVE IT TO ME.

Oh, you didn't mention the coffee table in the accounting... is it a klubbo with something on top?
