Yes. I ended up cutting about half-inch on both sides.
I used my circular saw to cut the metal headbox first.
I bought a blade for 10$ specifically for metal at Home Depot.
The nice thing about this is you have about 1/2 inch room for error.
You can slide metal headbox after installing in the brackets.
I used my miter saw to saw off the wooden slats.
Go very slowly to prevent chipping.
But even if it chips, I have some touchup paint.
I need the paint to hide the unstained sides that was exposed after cutting.
Also here, you dont have to be extremely accurate.
I cut some with bad angles, but my wife did not even notice.
Once you get the hang of it, its really quite simple.
The blinds look great!! We love it!!
Hanging the blinds inside the window frame (as suppose to installing it outside on the trim) was a big improvement.
It doesnt look it was "forced" on the window.
