Unreal...

So I make my wardrobe order in store and they have everything but the PAX Corner-Add On in Antique, because apparently it's being discontinued.

How can I get one? I tracked down 5 of them in Washington, but it's going to cost me over $400 to get it freighted here apparently.... thats a little unrealistic for some MDF Flatpack Corner Unit. Come on now.

How can IKEA discontinue a piece, and not even offer to get it shipped store to store for you once you've purchased every other piece they have? I dont think Im asking too much here, I'd pay a reasonable shipping fee to bring it to a local store even... but you can't tell me it would be impossible for them to get pieces moved from store-to-store.

<--Frustrated. Sorry for venting.

Re: Unreal...

Unfortunately there are a lot of things that IKEA doesn't do that would definently help out customers. They will not ship store to store. I looked for you here in Baltimore and they are not even listing hte Antique. If they had I would have snagged it for you and shipped it to you.

Good luck in your search.

Re: Unreal...

Thats awesome of you to attempt to do- I really appreciate it.

I think my only hope is to call the Washington store and attempt to arrange a pickup from a FedEx driver... I dont think thats too unreasonable.

Re: Unreal...

Billy, I am sorry this has happened to you! This is an incredibly frustrating situation.

Would you like to try posting on Swaps and Exchanges? Maybe you could trade shipping with somebody, or something. It's one thought, at least. I wish I had more to offer.
