How much does shipping cost for you average 10x10 kitchen?
I know there are alot of factors distance, cost of kitchen, etc. so a ballpark figure would be great. I've read all the delivery experiences but have seen few prices. I live in Denver and wouls assume theat they either ship from the east or west coast. any thoughts would be great.

I live in Madison, Wis. so our IKEA Direct delivery came from the east coast. I estimate our cabinets to be about 17 feet of base cabs and 22 feet of wall cabs plus some interior fittings.

Delivery was originally quoted for less than $900. Since we ordered during their 50% delivery sale in May, shipping was about $400.

By not paying sales tax in Schaumberg, we actually saved a few dollars by having our kitchen delivered. Maybe we came out ahead by $20. This was only possible because of the shipping sale. It's worth asking about future sales.

Hi Ben, if you have an estimated figure for the total amount of the kitchen order, call IKEA Direct and ask for a ballpark estimate on shipping based on your zip code. Kitchens are a separate department and they ship freight. When I called about shipping to St. Louis, they said it would ship from California. I just read Erika's reply and it reminded me that I saw someone mentioned a recent shipping sale. Be sure to ask IKEA Direct.

Not sure what state you live in. Do you have an IKEA in your state? If not, you won't have to pay sales tax through IKEA Direct; only shipping.
