want to make something like this wall-mount hamper (but cheap)

Here is a link to a product which seems to be what I have been imagining for a while. It is a wall-mounted laundry hamper. I would like to create something similar for my very limited space. I am not lucky enough to have a laundry room or utility room, and the hamper has been in the hallway. (machines are in the shared basement) If I could wall-mount something I could use more of the vertical area. the hallway is not wide, it still has to be kind of slim. If it's cheap enough I can put two or more and increase capacity.

WasteMaster™ White In-Wall Mount Clothes Hamper at Instawares

the shoe cabinets ikea has are the right shape (slim) but they're kind of small, they would hardly hold any laundry.

does anyone have a brainstorm?

Two ideas come to mind...

Slim Jim plastic garbage can with lid, screwed to wall (you could leave the screws sticking out slightly, and create holes in the plastic so you could lift the can off the wall and take it to the laundry area).

How about a fabric laundry bag attached to a wood hoop with my DH's current obsession...velcro?

That hamper is the one I have in my apartment. It really holds a lot of clothes. It holds more than 2 loads of a big laundry. It's very easy to open. Nothing else comes to mind.

did you install it yourself or was it there before?

I like the simplicity of laundry bags and hoops...any ideas about what could be a hoop--semicircular or arc-shaped, I'm thinking?

Re: want to make something like this wall-mount hamper (but cheap)

I had a very old one there when I moved into my apartment, but in the reno, the GC put this one in. I just like not having to look at a hamper on the floor - not to mention that my bathroom is small.

Try going to a craft store and looking at quilter's/crochet hoops.\

EDIT: Sorry...not crochet - needle point.
