Making new toekicks

Hi,

We've had our IKEA kitchen for about six months, and we kept our original pine floor. But now I'm thinking of installing bamboo.

Since the cabinets are already in, I know we'd have to install he floor around the legs and just under the cabinets.

This is going to require a shorter toekick as the floor will be a little higher. Has anyone made their own toekicks?

Also, has anyone installed a new floor just up to the toekicks? And if so, how do you remove the toekicks if you need to?

Thanks!

Re: Making new toekicks

The toekicks just snap into the legs with a c-clip. Then rip down the entire length of the toekick on a table saw, removing the installed thickness of the new bamboo floor. Snap the toekicks back in afterwards.
